Sample Kitchen Pictures,One of the easiest ways to implement creative kitchen decorating into your design scheme is to use what the designers refer to as a sample board. Sample boards are quite easy to make at home once you’ve gathered all your materials.
First create your board with a piece of 1/2 inch plywood or scrap of luan. Next place a large sheet of wallpaper or a good-sized paint chip as the background color. This is the color you think you’d like to use on most of your walls. Next attach floor covering samples: tile, laminate, vinyl, wood or any other material you plan to use. Finally attach your countertop chips or samples of materials you plan to use on chair pads or any curtain swatches or backsplash samples. This should give you an overall idea of how these samples and colors will work with the overall scheme of your kitchen. Lastly, tear pictures out of magazines of your favorite cabinet colors/wood species to see how everything looks together. Even better yet visit a kitchen cabinetshowplace with your sample board to get a good idea of color schemes. You can even make a scaled down version of the sample board for taking along with you to different places so you don’t have to lug around a huge board.

An important thing to keep in mind is to look at your sample board under different light conditions, as colors change drastically from natural daylight coming through a large picture window to the soft mood lighting of accent lights at night. If you are using a dark species of wood in your kitchen it can make a big difference when viewing at daytime and night time light levels. Another thing to remember is that your appliances will play a large role in the overall design of your kitchen. Remember to place a magazine cut out of your appliance materials/colors on the board to add to the visual mix of materials.
After you have completed the sample board write in the names, manufacturers, dye lots etc of each item as well as the name of the store it can be purchased from. This information will be invaluable as you are starting the creative kitchen decorating process. Hang onto the board after you have finished in case you need to replace any materials in your kitchen or wish to continue the flow into an adjoining room. For more ideas.
